Draw a bath with steam curling at the edges. Brew peppermint tea and set it on your table. Nurse the feeling of fullness – the feeling of bloatedness – and hope it doesn’t mean an extra inch padded around the waist. Watch the rain fall.

I’ve been feeling pretty stressed lately. But good friends and good food make things better. I’ve baked at least one thing a week; how could that not be satisfying?
So, sometimes, in the midst of stress, I wonder how I could be so lucky.
Then I go back to stressing. Like now.
